In the following few weeks I added potatoes, coriander, turnips, radishes and cucumber.
Bring pot of salted water to a boil, add turnips and simmer until tender, about 20 minutes.
Cook briefly, then add the beans, carrots, potatoes, turnips, salt, pepper and water.
Add carrots, onions, turnips and celery, and simmer another 15 minutes.
Twenty minutes before beef is ready, add potatoes, carrots, celery, turnips and leeks.
Add carrots, turnips and onions and simmer for another hour.
Add turnips, pumpkin and water, cover and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 40 minutes.
Return pan to medium-high heat, and add onions and turnips.
Add turnips, pushing them down into sauce, and cook, covered, 1 hour more.
Add the carrots and turnips and continue to saute.
