Set wire rack over a rimmed sheet pan and turn warm cake onto rack.
Turn cake onto plate and lift off pan.
If your model does not have a turntable, turn cake 2-3 times.
Turn cake out onto a rack and let cool.
Turn cake out of pan and cool completely on rack.
Turn cake out of the pan, turn upright, and let cool completely.
Turn cake out of pan immediately and cool on wire rack.
Carefully turn cake upside down in syrup, and squeeze a bit more.
Turn cake out onto rack, turn upright and cool completely.
Turn cake out, and wrap tightly in foil.
