After the fall of western grandstand in 1981 it was decided to leave one story, and since the late 90's work began to expand the eastern grandstand.

When machines raised the floor of the esplanade of the western grandstand, which was hardest hit, were exposed bale walls and archaeological 1,500 years old.

As the standing rows on the entire northern, the lower eastern and the lower western grandstands were converted into seats, the capacity shrank to 42,800.

The George Giffen Stand has already been demolished and been replaced by the new western grandstands (see below).

The new western grandstand will be a much simpler design than the original "hotel stand" but will result in a much larger ground capacity.

The western grandstand (with its press box and concessions area) was also built in the 1950s.

In 2005, the western grandstand of Olympic Park Stadium was named the Glenn Lazarus stand in his honour.

Two grandstands behind the goals and the media pavilion located in the corner between the western and southern grandstand were built according to the old concept.

The stadium consist of a western grandstand that can accommodate 2,000 people including 10 corporate boxes, 6 corporate suites and broadcast box.
