Cross face hammers are available in left and right hand versions.

Using a copper faced hammer, drive the arm rearwards along the torsion bar.

Prise off the front cover B23 with a screwdriver, at the same time tap the end of the input shaft with a hide faced hammer to help break the joint, thus removing the front outboard bearing B24 and bearing sleeve B20.
