Kuban Cossacks

These Cossacks became known as Kuban cossacks.

After the Soviet victory, many Kuban cossacks fled the country to avoid persecution by the Bolsheviks.

In addition to that, there was an internal struggle among the Kuban cossacks between loyalty towards the Russian Volunteer Army of Denikin and Ukrainian nationalist forces.
