Property prices are generally higher on the coastal side of Brighton Road.

Brighton Road is to the west and Buttrose Street to the east.

Large houses were also built down both sides of the Brighton Road.

Starting from Brighton Road, it is almost 1 kilometre long.

Brighton Road, where the annex would be built, has parkland and a residential neighborhood on one flank.

The local area is residential and the station is near the A23 Brighton Road.

This new building opened in 1934 at present-day 5 Brighton Road.

There are a number of commercial activities in the village, the best known of which is the large car breakers yard on Brighton Road.
