As inflation bites, should governments keep small denominations in circulation? Jeff Gore thinks not. He runs 'Citizens to Retire the U.S. Penny'. Not everyone agrees, Brian Domitrovic, a professor of economic history at Sam Houston State University in Texas, believes there is an economic argument for keeping the one cent coin. Also in the programme, who uses the estimated 11 billion one penny coins in use the UK? David Fagleman is from Cash Services UK, an organisation that works to ensure the correct amount of cash enters circulation. Plus, the BBC's Elizabeth Hotson takes to the street to see what she can actually buy for one pence. Finally, we hear the view from Kalkota where up until recently the lack of small change was proving a real headache. But as the BBC's Rahul Tandon has been finding out, traders are now queuing up to get rid of their change. (Picture: Stack of pound coins, Credit: Getty Images)
