salpingopalatine fold

Eustachian tube (as in salpingopalatine fold, salpingopharyngeal fold, and salpingopharyngeus muscle)

In the lateral wall of the nasopharynx, the salpingopalatine fold, smaller than the salpingopharyngeal fold, contains some fibers of muscle, called salpingopalatine muscle by Simkins (1943), it stretches from the superior lateral border of the cartilage to the palate anteroinferiorly, back of the hard palate.
