An ocular prosthesis or artificial eye is a type of craniofacial prosthesis that replaces an absent natural eye following an enucleation, evisceration, or orbital exenteration.

For patients with gross tumor involvement of the orbit,treatment requires orbital exenteration often combined with preoperative or postoperative radiation therapy; however,there is no evidence that this radical surgery will prolong life.
