If you also take "triptan" or other ergot medications (such as sumatriptan, methysergide), wait 24 hours before and after taking dihydroergotamine.

Concomitant administration with ergotamine, ergotamine derivatives (including methysergide) and other 5-HT1B/1D agonists is contraindicated.
