In early August 2009, Somon Air joined IATA's (International Air Transportation Association) Billing and Settlement Plan.

Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) (also known as "Bank Settlement Plan") is an electronic billing system designed to facilitate the flow of data and funds between travel agencies and airlines.

The plating carrier collects the entire fare from the customer and is responsible for distributing the proceeds to other carriers in that itinerary, usually through an intermediary known as BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan).

IATA administrates worldwide the Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) and Cargo Accounts Settlement Systems (CASS) that serve as a facilitator of the sales, reporting and remittance of accredited travel and cargo agencies.

Electronic tickets sold amounted to approximately 71.6 million segments in 2006 by domestic airlines through the Company's BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan) electronic ticketing, Airline Directsale electronic ticketing and Airline Online electronic ticketing.

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) suspended Líneas Aéreas Azteca from participation in their worldwide Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) operations on March 27, 2007, following the suspension of its operations by the Mexican civil aviation authorities.
