Season of the Inundation

Proyet falls after the Season of the Inundation, also known as Akhet.

The Season of Harvest is preceded by the Season of the Emergence and is followed by the Season of the Inundation.

During the season of the inundation, when the annual Nile flood covered their fields and made farm work impossible, the same farmers could have been redeployed by the highly structured bureaucracy to work on the pharaoh's tomb.

The Season of the Inundation (the MdC transliteration of the Egyptian term is Axt, and it is occasionally written as Akhet) is the first season in the ancient Egyptian calendar and corresponds roughly with early June to late September.
