Milceni

Other West Slavic tribes such as the Milceni settled east of them.

Between alemura, probably Olomouc, and Upper Lusatia region of the Milceni (terra mileze) the border could include Silesia if it was straight.

The Milceni (ancestors of Upper Sorbs) settled on fertile soil around Upper Spree, the name derives from the word měl' (loess soil).

Unlike other civil arrangements in Upper Lusatia at the time, there was no dominant town in the league, although before the 12th century the town of Bautzen served as the ancestral seat of the Milceni, an ancient West Slavic tribe.
