Holcus mollis, known as creeping soft grass or creeping velvet grass, is a species of grass, native to Europe and western Asia.

The larvae feed on various grasses, primarily Arrhenarherum elatius, Festuca arundinacea and Creeping Soft Grass.

Ground flora includes meadow sweet, yellow pimpernell, lady fern, rough stalked meadow grass, creeping soft grass, creeping buttercup and/or golden saxifage.
