Near the end of his gospel, Matthew relates the parable of the last judgment.

According to the parable of the Last Judgment, those who are called blessed have fed the hungry simply because they were hungry.

For "inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me...." The parable of the Last Judgment gives us the "terms of reference" for our self-evaluation as Christians.
